I love all things French and one of my Lockdown resolutions was to improve my spoken language. Time will tell if that’s worked, as the acid test will be when we finally head back South.
In the meantime, both Boy and I have embarked upon the A/S Level. I’ve also rediscovered Camus, a writer I had forgotten after my degree. I’m now slowly reading L’Étranger in French (with the English translation at my side). Amazed at how much is packed into that short novella, and how relevant it still is.
